The NOB Valley Swim Team is looking forward to another fun summer season. Whether you are a new or returning swimmer between the ages of 6-18 the Nob Valley Swim team wants you!
The Nob Valley Swim Team is a great summer experience for all young swimmers who would like to try competitive team swimming. Prior swim team experience is not required BUT children MUST know how to swim and be able to swim the length of the pool, so that they can safely navigate in the deep end. Swim team is a wonderful experience but is not a replacement for swim lessons.
If your child knows how to swim and would like to give it a try, think about signing up this spring. We especially encourage our youngest swimmers (6-8 yr olds) to join the team and see how much fun it can be. The swim team opportunity is currently offered at no additional charge to first-time team members.
The swim team starts practicing in June and the summer league swim season lasts through July. Meets are held on Wed. evenings and Sat. mornings during the season. The swim team is open to mid-season additions, even if you don't sign up quickly enough to start practice in June.

Information on the August 1 C League Championships:
C League Championships will take place FOR ALL AGE GROUPS on Saturday, August 1, at the North Brunswick High School. This is a change from the original calendar from the beginning of the swim season. Warm-ups will begin at 7:00 a.m. and the meet with start at 8:15 a.m. There is not a meet entry fee for events, as it was covered by your swim team membership dues.
The entries for our team are due on July 27th, so IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU LET Coach Julie KNOW WHETHER OR NOT YOU WILL BE AT CHAMPIONSHIPS. This meet is just as mandatory as any of the dual meets we've had all summer. The more people we have participating, the better showing NVST will make as a team. It will be the last meet this summer that NVST will be swimming as an entire team. The competition is against every team in the C League (including the teams in the white division that we have not swam against all season as Nob Valley is in the red division).
The kids are welcome to request to be entered in a certain event, but that does not guarantee that the kids will be in that event. The decision of what race each child swim in will be based on the amount of points Nob Valley can potentially score. For questions, please contact Coach Julie at rose.ju@neu.edu.
