August Memberships Available
If you know someone who has always wanted to try a membership at Nob Valley, but has not gotten to do so, please inform them that we have a great deal going on at our club! Our “August Membership” for new families is now $300. This memberhsip entitles the new member to all of the rights and priviledges of a regular Nob Valley Club member from now until Labor Day.
We all know that increased membership will be the key to keeping Nob Valley Swim Club strong well into the coming years. Many of our past August members have now become full time members, so the agressive recruitment of “August only” members could only positively impact our club! Spread the Word!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, it got cloudy as darkness fell Saturday, so we have rescheduled the Star Party to Saturday, August 9, at nighfall. Please bring a sweatshirt and bug spray and experience seeing the night sky through the Zahlers' telescope. Please: no white lights are permitted. Paint your light bulb with red nail polish or wrap the lens of your flashlight in several layers of red Saran Wrap.

Last Call to Fight Cancer at Nob Valley!
We have all been touched by cancer in one-way or another. It is important for our future and the future of our children to work towards a cure for this deadly disease. Karen Zahler, one of our members, would like to organize a fundraiser for cancer research. One of the ways to do this is to participate with the organization called The Swim Across America Group and their National Pool Program (swimacrossamerica.org/national_pool).
Karen would like to know if NVSC members would be interested in holding and participating in this event. She thinks it would be a great way to teach our kids about giving back to our community. Please email Karen@zahler.com if you are interested in helping and/or swimming in this fundraiser.
